  • Registration:

    Is free for BAS and BSCR members who should ensure that they register using the "BAS/BSCR Joint Meeting" tab. The conference dinner will be held on Monday evening (venue to be confirmed), with a reduced rate for student delegates.

    Abstract Submission: Closed

    Poster abstract session – two poster sessions will be held on Monday evening (together with a wine reception) and Tuesday afternoon; posters will be available to view throughout the day.


    Can be booked as part of the registration process or agreed delegate rates are available via Visit Manchester.

    Young Investigator Prize competition:

    Now combined with the BCS with the top 5 applications being selected for oral presentation on Tuesday lunchtime with a first prize of £1,000. Open to basic scientists who are no more than 5 years post-PhD and clinicians who have not attained consultant status. The revised application process requires submission of a 1000-word communication together with your standard abstract.

    The BAS/BSCR will consider awarding travel grants of up to £200 to bona fide students who are BAS/BSCR members and are presenting an abstract at the meeting – application form available soon.
