Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th September, The Edge Conference Centre, Endcliffe Village, University of Sheffield, UK

including a pre-meeting Early Career Symposium on Monday morning

Early Career Symposium:

Half-day symposium aimed at providing researchers at early career stages with advice and insights into a range of pertinent issues including:

  • Career progression experiences from Research Fellows at various career stages
  • Insights into getting a research proposal funded
  • Maximising support in career development
  • Multi-disciplinary approaches to cardiovascular research questions

Please note there will also be a networking event for Early Career Researchers (including a free drink!) from 19:00-21:00 on the evening of Sunday 9th September.  Come along to meet the organisers and other Early Career Researchers and start building your network early!

Abstract submission is now closed

Oral abstract session – the top 4 abstracts will be selected for oral presentation on Tuesday morning.
Poster abstract sessions – a poster session will be held on Monday evening; posters will be available to view throughout the meeting.


On-site accommodation will be available in Endcliffe Village.

Student Bursaries: 

The BSCR will consider awarding travel grants of up to £200 to bona fide students who are BSCR members.
