This event is part of a joint scheme between the Physiological Society, the British Pharmacological Society, and the Biochemical Society, which provides funding for early career researchers to host an early career life sciences symposium of our choice.
The symposium will encompass three main themes of integrative cardiovascular research: vascular health and disease, genetics of cardiovascular disease, and cardiac physiology. In addition, the day will also involve presentations from a panel of speakers on grant/fellowship applications, sustainable research, and on the challenges of diversity in STEM, and a relaxed evening reception providing further opportunity to network and establish new and lasting connections.
More details can be found on our website and on the attached flyer (click the red "Download Programme" to the right).
This symposium is all about giving early career researchers the chance to show off their research! Abstract submission is now open here. Deadline for submission is 1st September. We welcome abstracts for poster or oral presentations as well interest in chairing of judging a session. Registration is free here, and the deadline is 24th October. Places are limited; register soon to avoid disappointment!
If you have questions regarding your eligibility or how to be involved in the day, please contact us by sending an email to ECCS2022.manchester@gmail.com
